Ingredients

8 chicken drumsticks

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons dried oregano

2 teaspoons dried thyme

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Prepare the Coating: In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Prepare the Drumsticks: Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This will help the coating stick better.

Coat the Drumsticks: Drizzle the olive oil over the drumsticks, making sure to coat them evenly. Then, roll each drumstick in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the coating sticks.

Bake the Chicken: Place the coated drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure they are spaced apart to allow for even cooking and crispiness. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F / 75°C) and the coating is golden brown.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the drumsticks from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for garnish before serving.

Enjoy: Serve your Parmesan Herb Baked Chicken Drumsticks with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a fresh salad for a complete meal!
