Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 cup uncooked brown or white rice

1 can (15 oz) of condensed cheddar cheese soup

2 cups beef broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Brown the Beef: In a large oven-safe skillet or a Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it’s no longer pink.

Add Rice and Broth: Once the beef is browned, stir in the uncooked rice and the beef broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and cover the skillet, allowing it to cook for about 10 minutes.

Incorporate the Broccoli: After 10 minutes, add the broccoli florets and the can of condensed cheddar cheese soup. Mix everything until well combined, ensuring the rice absorbs the broth and ingredients are evenly distributed.

Cheesy Top Layer: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the mixture.

Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake uncovered for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown. If you like a crispier top, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye on it.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious one-pan cheesy beef and broccoli casserole!
