Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup diced red onion

1/4 cup black olives, sliced

1 tablespoon taco seasoning

1/4 cup sour cream, for serving

Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, red onion, black olives, and taco seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Roll Out the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles. On a lightly floured surface, arrange the triangles in a circle, overlapping them slightly to form a ring shape.

Add the Filling: Spoon the chicken mixture evenly over the wide part of each crescent triangle, leaving the tips free. Make sure to spread it out as evenly as possible for even cooking.

Fold the Dough: Starting with the wide end of each triangle, fold it over the filling and tuck it under the ring. Make sure to seal the edges gently to keep the filling inside.

Egg Wash: Brush the assembled crescent ring with the beaten egg to achieve a golden brown finish while baking.

Bake: Place the ring on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Cut into wedges and serve warm with a dollop of sour cream on the side. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
