Ingredients

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced

1/2 cup basil pesto

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 package (24) square wonton wrappers

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Optional: Pine nuts, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Prepare the Wonton Wrappers:

      - Lightly grease a mini muffin tin with olive oil to prevent sticking.

        - Place one wonton wrapper in each muffin cup, pressing it down gently to shape it against the sides. Brush lightly with olive oil for extra crispness.

          Make the Filling:

            - In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, pesto, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined smoothly.

              Fill the Wonton Cups:

                - Spoon a generous tablespoon of the chicken pesto mixture into each wonton cup, filling it to the top without overflowing.

                  Bake:

                    - Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the wonton cups are golden brown and crispy on the edges.

                      Garnish:

                        - Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and, if desired, a sprinkle of pine nuts for added crunch.

                          Serve:

                            - Carefully remove the wonton cups from the muffin tin and serve warm. Enjoy as an appetizer or a party snack!
