12 oz (340g) pasta (penne or fusilli work best)

2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

4 tbsp unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

Zest of 1 lemon

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

½ cup breadcrumbs (for a crispy topping)

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, according to package instructions. Add the green beans during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
