Honey Sriracha Glazed Meatballs

1 pound ground beef (or turkey)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup minced onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 egg, beaten

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup sriracha sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Optional garnish: sliced green onions and sesame seeds

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    Make the Meatball Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, black pepper, salt, and ground ginger. Mix everything together until it's well combined, but be careful not to overmix.

      Form the Meatballs: Using your hands, form the mixture into approximately 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each meatball.

        Bake the Meatballs: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned on the outside. An internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is ideal.

          Prepare the Honey Sriracha Glaze: While the meatballs are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it slightly thickens.

            Glaze the Meatballs: Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven. Pour the honey sriracha glaze over the meatballs, gently tossing them in the glaze to ensure they are evenly coated.

              Finish in the Oven: Return the glazed meatballs to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to set the glaze.

                Serve: Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Transfer to a serving platter, and if desired, garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve warm and enjoy!
