Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

Zest and juice of 2 limes

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 head of butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated

1 avocado, diced

1 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped

Fresh lime wedges for serving

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, minced garlic, lime zest, lime juice, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Toss well to ensure all shrimp are coated. Let it marinate for at least 15-20 minutes in the refrigerator.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp to the pan in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh cilantro and parsley.

Prepare the Wraps: On a serving platter, arrange the lettuce leaves. Each leaf will serve as a wrap for the shrimp filling.

Assemble the Wraps: For each lettuce leaf, place a few pieces of shrimp, followed by diced avocado, tomatoes, and red onion. Squeeze additional lime juice over each wrap for extra flavor.

Serve: Enjoy the wraps immediately while the shrimp is warm. Serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of zing.
