Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1-2 teaspoons red chili flakes (adjust to taste)

1 lime, juiced

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small corn tostadas

1 avocado, sliced

1 cup shredded red cabbage

1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves

1/4 cup sour cream (for drizzling)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp with lime juice, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.

Prepare the Garlic Chili Butter: In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another 30 seconds to release the flavors. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Cook the Shrimp: Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Make sure to coat them well in the garlic chili butter. Remove from heat.

Assemble the Tostadas: On each corn tostada, layer a generous amount of shredded red cabbage. Top with 3-4 shrimp and a few slices of avocado.

Garnish and Serve: Drizzle with sour cream and sprinkle with fresh cilantro. Serve hot with lime wedges on the side for an extra zing.
