Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

2 cups plain Greek yogurt (or any favorite yogurt)

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Parchment paper

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the bananas and place them in a large mixing bowl. Mash the bananas using a fork until smooth, but still slightly chunky for texture.

Mix the Yogurt: In another bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Stir until everything is well integrated.

Combine Mixtures: Gently fold the mashed bananas into the yogurt mixture until evenly combined. If you’re adding nuts or chocolate chips, fold them in now.

Line the Pan: Line a 9x5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper, allowing excess paper to hang over the sides for easy removal later.

Layer the Mixture: Pour half of the banana-yogurt mixture into the prepared loaf pan and smooth it out with a spatula.

Create the Swirl: Use a spoon to drop dollops of the remaining mixture on top of the first layer, then run a knife or skewer through the layers to create a swirl effect.

Freeze: Cover the loaf pan with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and freeze for at least 4-6 hours or until completely solid.

Slice and Serve: Once frozen, lift the frozen yogurt banana slice out of the pan using the parchment overhang. Using a sharp knife, cut into thick slices.

Enjoy: Serve immediately or store any leftovers in an airtight container back in the freezer.
