2 ripe bananas

1 cup dark chocolate chips (or milk chocolate chips, if you prefer)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Sea salt, for sprinkling

Finely chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or peanuts), for garnish (optional)

Toasted coconut flakes, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the bananas and slice them into 1-inch thick rounds. Lay them out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

    Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.

      Coat the Banana Slices: Use a fork to dip each banana slice into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Lift it out and gently tap it on the edge of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.

        Garnish: Place the chocolate-covered banana slice back on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with sea salt and any garnish (chopped nuts or toasted coconut flakes) before the chocolate sets.

          Freeze: Once all banana slices are coated and garnished, place the baking sheet in the freezer. Freeze for at least 1-2 hours or until the chocolate is completely firm.

            Serve: Once frozen, remove the chocolate banana bites from the parchment paper and store them in an airtight container in the freezer for a quick treat whenever you crave something sweet!
