1.0tablespoonbrown sugar (optional, for a sweet topping)
1.0tablespooncoarse sea salt (for sprinkling, optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Herb Butter: In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, chopped rosemary, chopped sage, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated and smooth.
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll Out Crescent Dough: Open the can of crescent dough and carefully unroll it on a clean, flat surface. If the dough is perforated, separate it along the lines to form triangles.
Spread the Herb Butter: Take a generous amount of the pumpkin spice herb butter mixture and spread it evenly over each triangle of crescent dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Roll the Crescents: Starting from the wide end of each triangle, roll the dough up towards the tip, creating a crescent shape. Place each rolled crescent on the prepared baking sheet, point side down.
Optional Sweet Topping: If desired, sprinkle a small pinch of brown sugar and a touch of coarse sea salt on top of each crescent for an added sweet and savory flavor.
Bake the Crescents: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and flaky.
Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the crescents from the oven and allow them to cool slightly on a wire rack. Serve warm and enjoy the festive flavors!
