Ingredients

1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs (or panko for extra crunch)

1/4 cup flour (all-purpose or gluten-free)

1/4 cup ranch dressing (store-bought or homemade)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Cooking spray or olive oil for misting

Instructions

Prepare the Chickpeas: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Rinse and drain the chickpeas, then pat them dry with a paper towel. Remove any loose skins for an extra crispy texture.

Mix the Coating: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the seasoned breadcrumbs, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.

Coat the Chickpeas: Pour the ranch dressing over the drained chickpeas and toss gently to ensure they are evenly coated. Let them sit for about 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Coat with Breadcrumb Mixture: Working in small batches, take the ranch-coated chickpeas and roll them in the breadcrumb mixture until fully covered. For a thicker coat, repeat the process by coating them in ranch dressing a second time, then in breadcrumbs.

Air Fry the Tenders: Place the coated chickpeas in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are in a single layer and not overcrowding. Mist them lightly with cooking spray. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Serve and Enjoy: Once cooked, remove the chickpea tenders from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve with extra ranch dressing for dipping, and enjoy the crunchy goodness!
