Crispy Pepperoni Pizza Chips

Ingredients
  

1 large flour tortilla (or 2 smaller ones)

1/2 cup pizza sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Olive oil spray or 1 tbsp olive oil

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Prepare the Tortilla: If using a large tortilla, cut it into triangles. If using smaller tortillas, you can leave them whole or also cut them into quarters.

      Create the Base: Place the tortilla(s) on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray or brush the surface with olive oil to help them crisp up in the oven.

        Spread Pizza Sauce: Evenly spread the pizza sauce over the tortilla(s), leaving a small border around the edges.

          Add Cheese and Pepperoni: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce, then layer in the pepperoni slices evenly across the cheese.

            Season: Sprinkle the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using) over the top for added flavor.

              Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and starting to brown, and the edges of the tortilla are golden and crispy.

                Cool and Serve: Remove the pizza chips from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Optionally garnish with fresh basil leaves before cutting into triangles or serving whole.
