To achieve the perfect roast, start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature is crucial as it helps to caramelize the natural sugars in the Brussels sprouts, giving them that desirable crispiness. Proper preheating ensures that the sprouts roast quickly, preventing them from becoming soggy. While the oven is heating, you can prepare the Brussels sprouts and other ingredients.

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

1/4 cup olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Place the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss well until every sprout is evenly coated.

Add Garlic and Seasonings: Add the minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix until all sprouts are evenly seasoned.

Roast the Sprouts: Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

Add Parmesan: After 20 minutes, remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the Brussels sprouts. Return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown, and the sprouts are crispy.

Finish with Lemon Juice: Once out of the oven, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the Brussels sprouts for a bright flavor.

Serve: Transfer the crispy Brussels sprouts to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Enjoy your delicious Crispy Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts warm!
