Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 cup unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Optional: lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Shrimp: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Toss the peeled and deveined shrimp in this mixture until well coated.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Once melted and bubbly, reduce the heat slightly to prevent burning.

Cook the Shrimp: Carefully add the coated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until golden and crispy. Flip the shrimp and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the other side is golden and the shrimp are cooked through.

Add Garlic: When the shrimp are nearing completion, add the minced garlic to the skillet. Stir gently to combine, allowing the garlic to sauté in the residual heat for about 1 minute, until fragrant. Be careful not to let the garlic burn.

Finish with Lemon and Parsley: Remove the skillet from heat, squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Toss everything gently to ensure the flavors meld together.

Serve: Plate the crispy garlic butter shrimp with lemon wedges on the side for extra zing. Perfectly paired with rice or a fresh salad!
