Ingredients

1 large store-bought flatbread or pizza dough

1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon balsamic glaze (optional)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Red pepper flakes (optional for spice)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). If using pizza dough, roll it out to fit your baking sheet.

Prepare Flatbread: If using a store-bought flatbread, place it on a lined baking sheet. For pizza dough, spread it out into an even rectangle or circle on a floured surface.

Add Olive Oil: Brush the surface of the flatbread or dough generously with olive oil, ensuring even coverage to help crisp it up.

Layer Cheese: Evenly distribute the sliced fresh mozzarella across the flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.

Top with Tomatoes: Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes over the mozzarella. Gently press them down to ensure they warm and release their juices.

Season: Sprinkle the pizza with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if you like a bit of heat.

Bake: Place the flatbread in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden brown.

Finish with Basil: Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the torn basil leaves on top.

Drizzle Balsamic: For an extra touch of flavor, drizzle balsamic glaze over the top before slicing.

Serve: Let it cool for a couple of minutes, then slice into pieces and serve warm.
