Ingredients

For the Cookie Dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup cream cheese, softened

For the Blueberry Swirl:

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

Prepare the Blueberry Swirl:

    - In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the blueberries, sugar, and lemon juice.

      - Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the blueberries break down and release their juices. Remove from heat and let cool.

        Make the Cookie Dough:

          - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

            - In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

              - In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).

                - Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and continue to beat until well combined.

                  - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture; mix until just combined.

                    - Fold in the soft cream cheese until the mixture is smooth.

                      Combine and Swirl:

                        - Take about 1/4 cup of the blueberry mixture and fold it gently into the cookie dough, being careful not to overmix. You want to leave swirls of blueberry visible.

                          - Use a tablespoon to drop dollops of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, ensuring they have some of the blueberry mixture visible.

                            Bake the Cookies:

                              - Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the cookies are set.

                                - Once done, remove from the oven and let them sit on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

                                  Serve & Enjoy:

                                    - Once cooled, these cookies can be enjoyed right away or stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
