Prepare the Tofu: Begin by pressing the tofu for about 20-30 minutes to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top. Once pressed, cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.
Make the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, honey, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
Marinate the Tofu: Place the cubed tofu into the marinade, making sure each piece is well-coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes. For best results, marinate for up to an hour in the fridge.
Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375 for about 3-5 minutes.
Cook the Tofu: Place the marinated tofu into the air fryer basket in a single layer. You might need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the tofu cubes.
Air Fry: Cook the tofu at 375 for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The tofu should be golden brown and crispy on the outside.
Serve: Once cooked, transfer the tofu to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped green onions. Serve warm over cooked rice or quinoa alongside steamed vegetables.
